PUT HER STAMP ON HISTORY
In conjunction with A VOTE FOR SUSANNA*, Author Karen M. Greenwald
is asking teachers, students, and those who wish to preserve Mayor Salter's
legacy to petition the USPS for a commemorative Susanna Salter stamp.
The Salter House Museum invites you to join this important effort.
Please review the instructions below before getting started:

INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING IN EACH LETTER:
1. Explain why you think Susanna Salter should be commemorated.
2. Discuss how Mayor Salter recieved thousands and thousands of letters mailed to
her from women and men around the world while she served in office.
3. Mayor Salter wrote letters back to as many of the well-wishers as possible—even
paying for the stationery and all of the stamps she used on her own.
Before mailing your letter, please make sure that the following steps have been followed:

The proposal letters are written and include pertinent historical information and important dates associated with Susanna Salter (the candidate).

The letters only discuss Susanna Salter.

Adequate postage has been placed on the evelope.
